THE mayor of Westbury Charlie Finbow is planning to shave off his hair when he hands over the mantle at the end of April.
Cllr Finbow wants to use the stunt to raise money for both the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Westbury Link Good Neighbour Scheme.
He said: "During my time as mayor I've been supporting the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and the Westbury Link Good Neighbour Scheme and I will be having all my hair shaved off for those charities. Westbury Link Good Neighbour Scheme provides transport for people in the town that haven't got access to it and help people to get their shopping.
advertisement"I'm hoping to see Mike Cuthbert Murray at Banana Blues Shop in Westbury about the possibility of having it done there.
"It should be in the last week of April, but I need to organise the sponsorship forms and venue. I hope to raise a shed load of money for both charities. I've been growing my hair now for the last four or five months. I started to look like a hedgehog at one point."
The Wiltshire Times will publish details of Cllr Finbow's charity efforts when details have been confirmed.

It will be his 3rd time shaving his head for charity, 1st time was for the westbury day hospital and 2nd was for westbury juniour school where they raised £3000
