I had Halibut for the first time on Friday at The Garden House, doesn't quite sound the same as Klee's duck does it Cheesy.

Karen and I have just had a delicious lunch in Warminster in a small cafe called BombayBens.
The absolutely fantastic food is cooked fresh to order in front of you and is authentic Indian cuisine.
It's a small cafe behind the pet shop opposite Morrisons in a Courtyard. You can get to it from the carpark by the side of the petshop or from the road by Comet/Currys,lol.
They also do a heat n eat frozen curry menu where you order over the telephone and go and collect from the shop and take home, heat and eat.
If you've read my posts on the Indian food available to eat in this area you'll see I'm not too easy to please but the food we had this afternoon was amazing.
It's more of a snack shop than full on curry house but you need to try it if you love Indian food.
The Indian woman who runs it (Liz) was on Masterchef a few years ago.
It's gluten free.

I tried Pizza hut in Frome last Friday what appalling service it took 10 Min's to see us to a table  25 Min's to take our order another 30 Min's to serve it, the  tagliatelli was only luke warm and i witnessed 5 tables get up and walk out because they got fed up with waiting for their order to be taken.
I complained to their customer service line today.
And i wont be going back their for a long time.

i havent tried the frome flyer myself but i know my son daughter and daughter n law have the other week  and they all said it was good food and didnt have a bad word to say about it

PIZZA HUT.... we wont be going back there for a while either... there was a mix up over the bill.. i asked if we could have something  with a different filling for the same price... n the girl w ent and asked and was told yes we could.. when bill arrived it was 4 pound more than it should have been.. Sad.  the service was very slow  and all the staff was doing was sat around chating....not telling off the kids that were running around screaming n shouting and running up n down the dangerous spiral stairs and the food was cold..and then on top of the we were sat under a speaker and the staff liked a song so turned it up and we could hardly hear each other talk.... its going down hill i think... i used to like going there.... i was not impressed Lips Sealed
maybe im getting old i dont know.. but i do  enjoy a meal and a chat as well.... its nice to hear what ur partner is saying... ifi want to go to a disco wiv loud music i would go to club ice n sit at the burger bar outside....

A lot of these places though are all employed by teenagers.

We went to Poole a few months back and we stopped off at Little Chef. Now when we were kids we used to go there as a treat if we were coming back from a day out. It has really gone down hill. The food is no were as good as it used to be,prices gone up and kids running all over the shop. And don't get me started on the baby changing facilities or lack of i must say! It was more torture then a treat!

Little Chef went in to administration earlier this year: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6225835.stm

But it seems they're still going: http://www.littlechef.co.uk/latest.php#26

And the comments they've published from their adoring public are almost as easy to stomach as their meals:

I always preferred the Happy Eater to Little Chef. Years ago you used to sometimes find them next to each other. Then little chef bought out the happy Eater chain and they have gone down hill ever since.  Sad

I avoid them now

The days of the roadside cafe are numbered. When we make our annual pilgrimage to Lands End each August, we used to breakfast en route in Little Chef, but a full English will now set you back over £7 each in one of these establishments. With drinks, you are easily looking at over £30.00.

We now stop in Sainsburys or Tesco where you can have any 6 breakfast items for £1.99  Thumb up!

Last year, all four of us had exactly what cooked breakfast we wanted, with drinks, for £10

I tend to agree with the mass, I find The Prince Leapold at Upton lovell, Brilliant! Also the Champion Resturant has been and hopefully continues as one of the better Chinese resturants in the area. I have eaten in the White Rabbit and have not as yet really enjoyed a meal there. Very bland!
