I have said it before on here but Salsa dancing is just the BEST!! dancing banana

Steve and I went with some others last night, probably our seventh time in all and it was just so much fun.

The particular class we go to is held in ClubX, which used to be called Caddilacs, on Walcot St.

You get there for eight and half two hours of dance class with a small break inbetween.  You learn basic Salsa, Mambo and Meringe (excuse sp!!)  It is great for socialising, it is so upbeat and friendly it gives you a real boost!! (Should you need one!!LOL)   You just cannot help tapping your toes and wiggling those hips!!

Thoroughly recommended!

Tues 8 til late.....   Freestyle at end of eve where if you are lucky an expert will come and whisk you onto the dancefloor and spin you rd til you are completely disorientated and make you feel like you are on Come Dancing.

Anyone who wants to join our group, PM me and we can sort out transport it wouldn't be westbury without one of these

I don't mind imagining Steve being light on his feet but I draw the line at having to block out a mental picture of any man "shaking his thang."

I think you should mention, no need to bring a partner. During the lessons the women form an orderly queue for the men. Lots of friendly people to meet, no alcohol required and a cheap night out.

Today I am feeling very tired but incredibly alive!!!!!!!!!! dancing banana

Had a fantastic night at Club X Salsa dancing.... as always fantastic atmosphere, friendly people, great music and instruction!!!

Had two hours worth of lesson and was then lucky enough to dance with some pro's who flung me around and made it look like I knew what I was doing.  The man always leads, so if the woman just turns and steps properly you can pull it off and make it look like you have been doing it years.

Was spun around all over the place and even got asked to dance by the instructor at the end of the eve.

GREAT FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, tired but happy this morning!!!

YOu should give it a go!!

most of the salsa classes are listed on salsa-jive.co.uk or salsajive.co.uk but i am not aware of any aimed at children.
