7th December 60019 "Bittern" A4 class steam loco, repainted in blue and masquerading as LNER "Dominion of New Zealand" is on a Poole-Bristol-Poole excursion and will pass through Westbury out and back.

Warminster 1143
Westbury 1149

Westbury 1726
Warminster 1737

Remember Westbury is a working station. Always abide by the instructions of the station staff, who I always find considerate and tolerant on these events.

A derailed train is causing disruption at Westbury.

Because of this, the following alterations will apply until further notice:
First Great Western trains between London Paddington and Exeter St Davids / Plymouth / Penzance will not call at Westbury, but will call additionally at Frome. A connecting bus service will run between Westbury and Frome.

First Great Western trains between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour will not call at Westbury.  A connecting bus service will run between Trowbridge and Westbury (for trains from Cardiff) and also between Warminster and Westbury (for trains from Portsmouth).

South West Trains between Salisbury and Bristol Temple Meads are cancelled. Customers should use alternative routes / services.
Journeys are being delayed by up to 60 minutes.

It is expected normal working will resume start of service 07/12/11

Listen out about 1720 onwards for the distinctive beat of a Gresley A4 steam locomotive climbing Upton Scudamore bank, a great cheerio for this year's Steam at Westbury !
