Okay, so this story has been covered by the local Media.

The Head has an affair with a colleague.

It then ends.

He is distraught and acts irrationally.

This is then publicised.

It then transpires that the Girlfriend has ended their relationship and is now seeking some kind of action to be brought against him.

What are your thoughts on this?  Should he leave the School?

I think he should not be at all judged on his private life and should be left alone to run his floundering School which if we recall was put into
special measures.

I think he has to resign. How can he command respect from the children when he's splashed all over the local newspaper regarding his relationship issues?

He even spoke to the WT which to my mind shows he's not even trying to keep his private life private.

And for the police to be called to deal with him - it's not a good example to be setting.

I think the affair on its own was not a big deal, and didn't really effect his ability to run the school.

However his behaviour since the woman returned to her husband is pretty poor by any standard, and certainly not the behaviour you would expect from a head who has been sent in to turn round a failing school. He has no option but to resign or be sacked in my opinion.

As an aside have the husband and wife no shame spreading details of this sordid episode through the local press??

Yes I agree, I think it is odd that they would want this so publicised and that they are trying to ascertain some kind of blame on to him, I mean it takes two to tango?

I agree he is not setting a good example, and it is sad it got to the point where Police had to be involved.

I do feel sorry for him though.
