I was Intrigued whilst reading Andrew Murrison's column In last weeks local papers at the convulted manner In which this man once a confirmed Eurosceptic sought to justify his voting against the referendum motion In parliament So It took a personal meeting with David Cameron PM  to provide '' a credible explanation of the Governments position to galavise the vacillating Mr Murrison and allow himself to become coalition lobby fodder.

No mention of the large percentage of his electors who would like him to start representing their views by voting for the motion.

Being largely suspiciousof MP's In general , I begin to wonder what carrot was dangled before Mr Murrison to ensure his support.
I did not have to ponder long.Over the weekend It was announced that David Cameron's personal representative on the Great War 100th Anniversary commemaration committee would be one Andrew Murrison MP.
I sincerely hope that he enjoys the new role to which he has been appointed but given the fact that the Ministry of Defence would rather and prefer to commemorate the end of World War 1 , rather than the beginning , I fear he will be a very busy Boy.

On average based on a wiltshire wide poll it came out as 61% wanting their Mp to vote in line with the yes .
nationally this jumps up to 77% .

To me what they were voting on was neither here nor there.

What disgusts me is the fact that we allegedly live in a democratic society where we are supposed to be free but our elected representatives are told how to vote!!!

RIP democracy!!  Angry

I agree topskills , same as our MP's wouldnt know democracy if it sat in their faces , those who voted yes and dissobeyed the conservative 3 line whip should be applauded for doing what they where elected for representing their electorate. Andrew Murrison In my view represents himself and his aspiritions obviously by his voting and his prize for doing so.
