Total garage mix-up

Item on BBC Points West today: our Total garage connected their diesel pumps to the unleaded tank so lots of people filled up with the wrong fuel.  I filled up there twice last week!  Total are being very cautious with their comments, refusing to accept liability for damage to vehicles.

Total obviously coin it in year after year, likewise that actual station and it makes me mad that they don't just hold their hands up and admit liability. Some people will be will have incurred costs and some may even be without their vehicle.

Here's the BBC story: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-15437362  Different from the version on Points West as I remember it: it was diesel connected to an unleaded pump (so I had a lucky escape), and Total now say that they will pay compensation.  Obviously Algy's "occupation" threat has had an instant effect.
