i just dont get the point here. i drove past the crossing twice today and both times it was being used. first time  a lady was pushing a pram across and the vsecond time a yooung girl with a dog was waiting one side and three young lads on bikes were on the other side. so can you explain why its a waste of money? i really dont get it

Perhaps you were just lucky. I've driven past on maybe hundreds of occassions and I can honestly say I've never seen it used (except when a car used it for target practice). Maybe I just drive past at the wrong time of day.

Ok so it doesn't get used every minute of every day, does the one along west end? Or the one by the co-op? If it saves one kid being run over then to me it's worth every penny. Every local council wastes money but this is not one of them

I've seen the Co-op one used, usually by Mums pushing buggies out of the Frogmore estate and into the Co-op.  The drill hall one in West End is mostly used by the cadets leaving/arriving at whatever they do in the drill hall.

I've seen (and stopped) at all of them often enough!

Mind you I expect that the mayor of Warminster is not too pleased as being referred to as "he". She certainly was a lady when I last met her!!  Maybe it is not just WT that doesn't fully check the facts!
