I see they've started building something on the right hand side of West Ashton Road (as you head towards Trowbridge). Anyone know what that is?

I don't think there were many appeals against the housing. Most people recognise the need for new housing. The appeals were more about preserving the surrounding woodland (Biss wood and Green Lane wood) and the special habitat it provides for wildlife.
New housing requires utilities like drainage etc. which could, if not directed properly, affect these woods drastically. We are losing wildlife habitat at an alarming rate in this country and all measures should be taken to preserve it the best we can. I'm not sure enough consideration is taken by the planners in these matters.
