New roads for the West Wilts Trading Estate
«

With another 300 jobs coming to the trading estate in 2 years time, taking over the old Tesco distribution warehouse, isn't it about time the roads to the Estate was improved.
Otherwise their will be potentially another 300 cars coming through the town twice a day, and all the delivery lorries that will deliver to the new businesses.
What do other people think???

But how many extra cars would this mean compared to when the old Comet was open (I believe this firm are going into the old Comet distribution cantre).
However, I agree that the traffic use of the industrial estate should be constantly reviewed, but at the same time, we must encourage new employment opportunities to the people of Westbury. I am not sure how many NEW jobs this move will entail.

Bring the jobs to Westbury, dont ever stop that happening, but the roads have to cope with the amount of traffic.
A new road from the bottom of the estate, to Standerwick, would instantly solve the problem, with most of the new traffic coming from Midsomer Norton.

Probably Pete, but,
What is the old saying if you dont ask you dont get.
If the estate had better access roads years ago, maybe some of the big companies that used to be there , would never have left.
