I'm not usually one to moan (LOL) but why is it that virtually every night for the past week, whenever I go outside in the evening all I can smell is bonfire smoke?    Angry

I have to agree with you Pete, it's everywhere as soon as the sun shines and it's disgusting, disgraceful and damned unnecessary.

I also thought that bonfires are largely illegal now, given that they contravene so many different regulations.

Mike & Mike - how about you two post on here and tell us ordinary citizens what the local regulations are on bonfires and tell us how to complain about bonfire nuisances?

Thanks for that Mike. A bit difficult identifying who it is though, it doesn't appear to be any of my immediate neighbours, but the other night the smell was that bad I found it difficult to breath.

Absolutely agree, their is nothing more annoying than trying to sleep in a hot humid bedroom with the Windows closed, because some selfish @##t has a bonfire from hell still smouldering into the early hours of the morning.
With the many recycling centres that are open now why Do people still feel the need to pollute the atmosphere even more. Sad

The hottest day and therefore evening since August, not a breath of wind, and some idiot has a bonfire with the resulting
smoke lingering at ground level and not dissipating at all  Roll Eyes !

Whats the matter with you lot, the odd garden bonfire on a summer evening aint so bad! no law says you cant. been going on for years. hence aiding global warming, probably leading to this wonderfull warm spell, and thus, hot stuffy bedrooms.  Cheesy
