Helle and Ray Jones are in their 25th year working as chiropractors

They originally set up in Frome working from the ground floor of their house in Oakfield Road, eventually moving into purpose-built premises in Bridge Street, Frome in 1989.

Helle recalls, "When we arrived in Frome we knew absolutely no-one and very few people had even heard of chriopractic; so we had to go out and get to know people, give talks and subsidise our clinic, working for colleagues in Wells and Bridgewater."

As time went on, the clinic grew and the business expanded, with a move to the current premises at Turnpike surgery.  As demand grew in the Norton Radstock area, it was decided to open what was the area's first chriopractic clinic in Midsomer Norton High Street in 1990.  This is now known as Norton Chriopractic and Homeopathic clinic.

Chriopractors deal essentially with mechanical problems of the joints (especially the back). and their related symptoms such as headaches, arm and leg pain.  Because many patients also complained of conditions the Joneses could not treat with chriopractic, Helle trained as a classical Homeopath.  Over the 15 years or so Helle has used the Vegatest, a modern computer-generated form of homeopathy with which she has treated large numbers of babies, children and adults alike with all kinds of ailments from eczema to irratable bowel.

In 2002 Helle and Ray opened the Westbury Chriopractic Clinic opposite Cooper's supermarket.  Ray said, "This is the last phase in our clinic development.  We know have three efficient, well staffed premises and a solid patient base of over 25,000, quite a journey from our first day in practice in July 1982!"

If anyone would like further information please either call into the clinic or telephone 01373 859900 for a fact sheet

Hayfever season is upon us.  Are you a sufferer?  Would you like it eased with a medicine card similar to that of a nicotine patch? Works on the same principle.

Visit Helle for a consultation.   I am convinced personally.

Will write more details about their treatment for hayfever very soon.

I've read about this before, but this is the first time I've seen it so well described.  I'm gonna try this when my hayfever kicks in.

I don't know anything about them, but I noticed these people in Steeple Ashton when I was there this morning.

On my drs advice I spent £100's on chirpractors for my back and it was all completely wasted.  Went for a sports therapy massage and after a couple of weeks everything was fine.   That was just my experience, obviously.

The trouble with all Doctors ('alternative' or 'straight') is simply that some are better than others and some suit some people / conditions better than others. Human beings are not like machines and they rarely seem to fit into neat boxes where drug / treatment a will always successfully treat condition x, or whatever.

I got interested in such treatments when I had a boss whose wife was seemingly paralysed for years. He actually had a van converted so she could could lie in on a sort of bed and be driven around that way. He said he had tried all sorts of treatments and spent many thousands trying to find a cure. One day he tried a chiropracter a friend had recommended. The Chiro pulled her big toe and she got up and walked. A miracle, a clever trick, luck - who knows but it made me think, and want to explore the area more.
