I don't think these supermarkets will take much notice of Jamie Oliver. I think ordinary customers have been moving away from battery eggs for some time, and it is now uneconomical for the companies to try and sell them.

However, I am sure they will continue to be used in bought cakes, biscuits, etc because on these products the customer is not told they use battery eggs.
