Do we grind to a halt far too easily these days when there is a slight sprinkling of snow?

I remember proper winters where snow was knee deep *altho I was only knee high to a grasshopper I guess myself

Seems we cannot cope with winter anymore, and people almost act surprised when the bad weather comes.

Wonder what the roads are like today?
Morgan is meant to have his leg cast changed at Devizes this morning, but Doug thinks we should re arrange Appt as it will be lethal
for Morgan on crutches and possibly on the roads for driving

What to do what to do

There has been knee deep snow - in the Nottingham-Sheffield area where my brother lives!

We had between 3 to 4 inches in Warminster but it is very powdery.

OOohh, sunshine as I type  Cool .

Lucky you, I live in southwest London Surrey borders, the binmen have stopped collecting, buses are few and far between, the local overground trains have stopped, and the LT service from Wimbledon to Earls court is out due to a power failure.
This is due to a foot of snow.

But I did see a woodpecker on the bird feeder.
