My commute to work has become terrible, New asda store at Melksham, means terrible hold ups for 14weeks.
Alternative route is to travel to Bradford Leigh, but roadworks start there until February.
On the way home its roadworks at the top of eden vale.
Why does major roadworks all get planned at the same time. Angry Angry

It used to be the case that electricity companies would dig the road up and two weeks later the
gas company would have a go then another two weeks and the telephone lines get dug up.
This way it all gets done in one go with all of the various companies working together.

That's the theory anyway.

It now looks as though, the traffic island they are putting in the middle of the lanes, outside Asda, will reduce it to one lane, both sides of the road, so major holdups will last forever, whatever was the council thinking of, to allow this. Angry Angry

I wouldn't worry about it maxi, I'm sure the council know what they're doing, look at the wonderful job they did of the traffic modelling for the bypass..... oh  Sad
