Alena, bought a Nintendo Game with her birthday money yesterday, sixteen pounds, Dora the Explorer, from Tesco Trowbridge, I paid with my card, but cant find the damn receipt despite searching thru the bin.  Puke

The game, is rubbish, she had completed it in fifteen min or so, and there are no further levels.

Complete waste of sixteen pounds.

Rang a 0845 Tesco No, and they were not very helpful saying they could only swap for same title cause of copy right.

Is this just a case of bad luck?    Cant believe we wasted so much money on such rubbish.

Probably just a bad choice of game.
I pretty much always check on the net for reviews of most anything I want to buy.

This is the one Dora saves the Snow Princess review I found:
"Dora is a really popular and entertaining character that every 3 year old girl in the world seems to love.
My three year old is no exception so I bought this game for her and have had a good go on it.
The game uses the voice recognition feature on the ds to teach children basic spanish words. It also focuses on counting and memory skills as well as using the sylus to promote improvement of the fine moter skills.
The game is split into two parts you have the adventure game which is fairly similar to one of the dora shows you basically fulfill a variaty of simple tasks whilst working your way through the map all the way through this side of the game the dora charactor is telling a story also all instructions are pictorial or spoken so for small children who cannot read yet it makes it rally easy to plar.
The second side of the game is the quick games these are dressing a snowman, colouring in and hide and seek.
I do like this game but would have liked to see more content and istead of the child having to draw the pictures it would have been nice if there were a few already on there."

Bad luck I'm afraid, Tesco are under no obligation to refund or exchange the game. Take Alg's advice in the future.

You could try selling or exchanging it at Games Exchange or Pink Planet.

I am one lucky girl then, the chap on Tesco Customer Service exchanged it for another game for us of the same value.

I will in future, read up some reviews, but to be honest, we bought games as a last result after things in other shops failed to impress!!

I was very appreciative, and told them so several times.

How on earth do you copy a Nintendo game anyway?  On a comp?
