I presume it is a cafe. Where the White Rabbit used to be. Mike will know and hopefully comment later.

It is going in the old white rabbitt or paul mante's barber shop , I do hope they do well , considering Dean's has reverted back to what they used to do as the Tea cosy run by Sandra Wordley

Can I just take the oppo to give a big up to Paul mante and wish him well in whatever heaven he is in. He was the last person I paid to cut my hair (before my wedding, I shave it off normally), I went in there and he was shaky as anything, then cut my hair with a comb and a cutthroat razor with the precision of a zen master.

I used to go to Paul Mante when I was a nipper, back when he had his shop on the coner of West End and Fore Street. Damn near took my ear off one time

Mad Hatter's
I can't find my other thread on this. Went in this afternoon after acupuncture next door. Friendly enough but no one else in. Forgot my partners tea cup and my coffee altogether. Food not bad and reasonable portions but £8 + for not a lot. Liked the plates and the decor but the White Rabbit always seemed full.

Noble aims. There was nothing in my visit that couldn't easily be improved and make this a great cafe.
Could I make a plea for more members of the forum to review local shops, pubs etc. Though I'm still too ill to help with the Information Centre at the moment I still get some emails via the web site. One yesterday was typical asking where to stay and what to do in Westbury. Debs on the other forum always writes like she uses the local shops, pubs etc. and that is really useful to members and people viewing the forum as visitors. Westbury is actually a most interesting place with a lot more history than people sometimes appreciate. Its easy to moan about the lack of some shops but at least they are individual and not the same old shops you see everywhere else. That's often the British way unfortunately, knock what you have and then moan when it's gone.

I've eaten there a couple of times and have found the food to be good, price not bad when compared to other places, seem to be quite busy as well which is good for local businesses. I like to wish them well as it's just the sort of thing that Westbury needs. It's up to the community to support it.

well I have to say the most delightful place to stop for a cup of tea has to go to the Garden House Hotel excellent service beautifully presented lovely comfort and surroundings with a smile and welcome each time and for food it is second to none here in Westbury.
