A dog show, petting zoo and pony rides will all feature at Westbury street fair which will take place on July 17.

The event is organised by Westbury Town Council, along with Westbury Lions and other local organisations.

There will be a mixture of events and displays from 10am to 4am, with the fair culminating in an evening of music in the Market Place, starting at 6pm.

Community choir to perform at Victorian pool

Westbury's Community Choir, Sing Alive, will be performing at the forthcoming Westbury Street Fair, and in the town’s Victorian swimming pool.

The choir will sing their mix of world and community songs in various venues around the town on July 17, as part of the 2010 Street Fair, including at Westbury’s historic pool in Church Street.

They will appear on the main stage in the Market Place at 2.15pm and sing in the sunken garden in the grounds of All Saints Parish Church at 2.30pm.

Looking like a fine day for the events tomorrow. Maybe a few early showers then bright/sunny and a max of 21c. It could get a bit chilly for the evening concert but will be dry.

2 quotes by me....

Our kids (and us!) had fun in the library. But my wife overheard that the money obtained from selling books outside was stolen by some opportunist. Does anyone know any more about this? I'd be relieved to hear that the culprit was apprehended.

Great Street Fayre efforts by all involved I thought, great music in the evening but I thought the comedian was a bit offensive, (talking about 'dogging??at a family event)

Still he did apologise later.

We left at around half nice having had a great time catching up with old friends x

The sound quality was better than last time, both bands I saw were great, the atmosphere was fantastic, and I got to meet Mike CM, who is really quite the dude.

Did the street fayre really happen? or did I just imagine that I spent a very enjoyable day with my family in the centre of Westbury?
It is now Wednesday, and still no mention of our street fair has managed to hit the on-line press.
Do we exist?HuhHuh??
If someone sneezes or f***s in any of the surrounding areas, it's headline news.
But here, there seems to be no public recognition to thank the efforts of all those that organised a very enjoyable day out locally.
To all those that helped to organise Sat's events  applause applause applause applause applause applause applause applause applause

(perhaps Westbury is associated with russell rofl)mods can censor this if they wish
