1st May [Sat] Welshman to visit Westbury Station

Oliver Cromwell ( 4-6-0 no 70013 Britannia Class Steam Loco ) is hauling an excursion from Poole to Cardiff and back on Saturday 1st May. "The Welshman".

"Ollie" always storms Upton Scudamore Bank, so its always a conundrum whether to watch it accelerating through Westbury Station getting up speed, or on the bank itself. Upton is getting very popular now for these events,, so its best to get there early to get a parking space..........

Remember Westbury is a working station. Always abide by the instructions of the station staff, who I always find considerate and tolerant on these events.

Does this go along the railway line along the back of leigh park?

Penleigh road and Fairwood road both cross (under) the line it will pass by on.

Under no circumstances trespass on the railway.
