Surgery incompetence

I couldn't find an old thread relating to Eastleigh Surgery so am posting a new one.
People may moan about the service and procedures they receive at Eastleigh but I, over many years of using that surgery, had no complaints (only problem was to do with retrieving a prescription at the pharmacy!).
However since changing to The Avenue in Warminster I have faced incompetence by my own doctor, his secretary, the front desk office staff and the workers in Boots pharmacy (both next to the surgery and in the town centre!).
My own doctor failed to put my medication onto the repeat process and, after several attempts to remedy this, it's still not been done. I was advised by a receptionist to make an appointment with a doctor to sort it. They gave me an appointment with a near retirment aged locum (!!!) who hadn't a clue nor the seniority to remedy (pun kind of intended) the situation.
I was then informed - having taken time off work for a pointless appointment - that I'd be phoned at home by my own doctor's secretary. She indeed called me earlier and hopefully everything's been sorted - not before I was grilled again about all the medication I need and she then told me the admin staff needn't have given me the appointment because it could have been done over the phone! I've only been here about 8 months!!!
So, the grass isn't always greener elsewhere, and Eastleigh is a damn good surgery!

I think Eastleigh has improved recently..
(that was probably a bad thing to say)
I'm just off down there now so I may be reporting back shortly

Pity we are likely to lose Eastleigh surgery when it is replaced by the primary care centre.
I am glad the old hospital will be put to good use, but Eastleigh is nice and central to get to, especially
for quick sample drops offs, prescriptions etc. Otherwise, unless you have a car, time to spend waiting for public transport
(or fit enough to walk - less likely for patients) it isn't the easiest place to get to.
I remember my friend struggling to push a heavy double buggy up there when they ran the baby and toddler group.

I have no bad complaints about eastleigh except CAN I PLEASE PLEASE GET TO SEE DR BEALE AT LEAST ONCE THIS YEAR LOL i have been wanting to see her for a problem for months but keep being told she fully booked for 4 weeks so when i tried to book in to see her 4 weeks in advance was told i could not do it that far ahead, ok i think i will go and camp outside her room till she takes pity on me lol.
All the other doctors are fine there (except one male doc) and i think they are do a fab job especially in the past months with all the bugs and colds that have taken over the majority of us.
so keep up the good work eastleigh and i applaud you for doing a good job.
