Sorry to hear last night you're not feeling too well Mike. I go to the WI market in the Parish Hall and that seems pretty British. But the cheeses and bread they had at the last French market were pretty damn good. I can still remember when food from abroad was a rare luxury and its fantastic (if you ignore the air miles) the selection we can buy now. But I agree British food does tend to get unjustly ignored on cooking programmes and local suppliers need promotion too - one thing that Cooper's did well.

French market is on a saturday, when I am not at work. WI market is on a Friday, when I am at work, like many, many people. Its a no brainer as to why shops make the most amount of money on a Saturday.

I love the French market, it give the children a chance to taste different things, we usually go to the one in Trow, but being here in Westbury can only be a good thing.

again how about an English market for a change I'm assuming it's because no English or British people want to run one. If a group of French want to set up and run a market good luck to them. I enjoy sampling foods from other countries and welcome the French market. I also enjoy fresh British produce and would use a British food market.

Lots of people there (though perhaps not as many as last time?) but lots of people remarked how expensive it was.

The French markets are always a little expensive, but it is nice to taste new and different things, and also practice your French

It was expensive but we did buy a few things.
I think, and I have said this at Town Council meetings, that we should also ensure local markets have the chance to be present. Last Saturday reinforced this for me.

I Had a good look around and it wasnt a bit expensive it was totally extortiante in some of the prices , just like the Italian market before. I am sure they would sell alot more tp people if they lowered their prices into realistic prices for people whilst still making a profit, I would still like to see in future local producers involved in these events and will be bringing this up when it next arises at the town council
