I am all for ideas like this, getting children out into the community, making it all more relevant to them, meeting community members etc, It can only be a good thing in my opinion as such issues may not always be touched on within the home

It is, and should be, encouraged, however, I do think good citizenship could be encouraged more from grown ups. BUT........ Since Mia was born, and with both of us having huge amounts of time taken up by work, travelling to see relatives, etc etc, I do wonder how we could find time to be more of a part in the community - for example to WI market is on a Friday when I'm at work, I try to spend most of my DIY money in Davies - but on a Sunday it's closed.

It worries me how some parents are so blaze about how they could positively influence our children.

I mean smoking at the school gate?!!!  Whats that all about?

And some of Morgans friends, ten years of age, watch SKINS...... have not watched this but know enough to know it is full of sex and drugs references.

One of my daughters friends, then six or seven said that as a treat for good behaviour she was allowed to watch Eastenders with her Mum.

 Cheesy
