The shop, one of only two in the county, which raises funds for the air ambulance, relies on a team of volunteers to stay open. Recently it has been suffering from a staffing shortage, and would like anyone who would be willing to volunteer during the week to come forward.
The Maristow Street shops sells a wide range of items, from books and ornaments, to board games and clothing.
The shop has become the largest single source of funding for the air ambulance, which needs to raise £500,000 a year to keep running.
This is just one-third of the cost of running the helicopter, with the remaining funds coming from Wiltshire Police.
Last year the shop was presented with a commemorative cheque in recognition of the £1.2 million it has raised for the appeal in its ten years of opening.
The air ambulance is not government funded, nor is it eligible for National Lottery Funding.
This year is the ambulance’s 20th anniversary in Wiltshire.
The shop is open from 8.45am - 4.00pm Monday to Saturday. To find out more call 01373 822318 or drop into the store.
