protest against the lisbon treaty

On the 30th november people are going to protest against the lisbon treaty

i wonder how many people really understand what the Lisbon Treaty is all about! Listning to the jeremy Vine show on radio two, not even he really understood what it was all about!

I think its something to do with giving the EU more powers so Gordie and co have less power.  Which sounds like a good idea 
So you hear phrases like "Our speed limit in Westbury Leigh will be set by someone behind a desk in Brussels and we will all have to eat straight bananas"
Which is of colourse bollx
I thi nk one thing it will do is rob us of some of (even more of) our wealth and redistribute it to other parts of europe - which should do its bit to help stop illegal immigration.

yokel have you read the treaty its very worrying indeed, after the ratification by all member states the full imlications will of course be made clear to all slowly but surely and there will be nothing we can do about this.

not sure i would udnerstand it if i did - i think thats what we have polticians for,a lthough in general they dont appear to be any brighter than us

your right yokel most polticians are not any brighter than any of us just clever at ripping people of  ie taxation to support their over indulged lifestyles by exspenses and merely to climb the ladder of the governing classes to suit their own ends.
