I also thought the aisles were slightly narrow and was also put out by the papers and cards being on the wrong side of the check outs, I thought the staff were very chipper and there was a good buzz in the store.

Did not see many familiar peops there though.

Think I might pop in later this afternoon, just to compare it to the Warminster store. Hopefully their £1 deals will happen in Westbury too as we've got plenty of fruit & veg to last a week : packs of potatoes, carrots, beans, parsnips, apples, clementines all for £1, of very good quality & lasting a good time day/meal wise.

- I don't personally like the pound deposit for a trolley (a general Morrison's thing)

Just wondering why?

Popped in today and quite impressed. I agree with others that the aisles are quite close together, but if that means more choice I haven't got a huge issue with that. Couldn't see the second ATM that was advertised?

Liked the fish counter and the salad bar.

Co-op still seems busy.

I was in there first  moan from me  picked up a fresh cheese and tomatoe pizza and looked for the ingrediants list as jon is allergic to onion and garlic there was no ingrediants list so I asked the manager next to me he said its not on there so I asked him what was in it he said its a tomatoe and garlic puree base with cheese and tomatoes topped Roll Eyes well that is not on as if i had bought and served that to jon he would be in hospital now I always assumed ingrediants needed to be listed for the consumer to know what they are buying and eating

On freshly made or baked foods, they dont have to list ingredients. If you buy a fresh doughnut, or pie, or pizza, it will not list them

It is the same with all supermarkets, they do not have to put them on anything freshly prepared like that.

Andy,

I was at a meeting tonight and I asked a lot of people about the pound coin for a trolley thing and they all thought it a really good idea. Why don't I like it, silly reason, I never seem to have the right change and trollies don't take switch cards! Not a good reason I know.

Thanks Mike.

Morrisons sees surge in profits
The UK's fourth-largest supermarket, Morrisons saw half-year pre-tax profits rise 45%, saying new customers had been drawn in by its prices in the downturn.

The firm made £449m in the six months to 2 August, attracting a million new customers in the past two years.
