Thanks Maxi I was reading the reviews on the other forum and they mentioned this. I am going tomorrow and this is most useful.

I was always taught that if you had nothing nice to say, then say nothing!!

(To be honest I can't comment because I haven't been in there yet).

Me neither I'm afraid.
But I was told in the Visitor Centre this afternoon (can't confirm it personally) that Morrison's have employed a company to manage their car park and are clamping cars if they stay longer than 1.5 hours.

As I drove past there this afternoon, I noticed the sign said "No Return within 3 Hours". Often we will get home from shopping to find we have forgotten something, and obviously return. It would appear that Morrisons will not encourage forgetfulness, and, the cost of a couple of forgotten items will be high when the clamping charge is added.

Personally, I think I will stick to the Co-op.

We were there as it opened yesterday and were very impressed by it. It was very busy of course, and there seemed to be too many staff hanging around doing nothing, so many blokes in a shirt and tie doing sod all ,lol

The produce is good quality and varied, the deli and the hot food to go is great, and it was so nice to pick up things that were actually still in date Wink

We will use it for in between bits, not for a full shop, but for odds and bits mid week.
Our cashier was friendly and efficient. on the whole it was a nice experience.

Trina went up yesterday with her Mum and it was given the thumbs up by them, I've read many posts from people that have been fed up with the high prices of the Co-Op so we'll see. I know that its not Coopers anymore but the Town has to move with the times, its great for Westbury to have a Morrison's because unless the whole company goes tits up (sorry ladies) I can't see them shutting down the store  Thumb up!

I think we should let the store settle in to the town and see what happens, but its nice to have everything under one roof. For example Cd's, Dvd's in the charts which are harder if not impossible to get in Westbury Thumb up!

Fingers crossed people will shop there but if people come in to Westbury then they will also go into the high street for things that aren't being sold in Morrison's. Wink

As you go through Newtown in Trowbridge, Morrison's have a huge advertising hoarding advertising the new store. Be good if the shoppers of Trowbridge start to come to Westbury.

Had a good look round today. Like it, and got several nice things.

A few observations (not criticisms)
- aisles a bit narrow for wheelchair users
- I don't personally like the pound deposit for a trolley (a general Morrison's thing)
- toilets not been changed - okay but not great
- great to have extra disabled parking but by shutting off the old exit door, I have longer to walk back to them
- why do Morrison's put the newspapers the other side of the checkouts?

Busy this morning, but not manic.
My Checkout girl was lovely, polite and helpful.
