Not really a moan as they seem to be under enormous pressure. I had to go there today to try and sort out a problem for someone; room was packed and was told at least a 4 hour wait. No idea how typical that is. There are no toilets there or drink facilities in the building, so if you have to go  - be prepared. I'm waiting for a call back from CAB Trowbridge and will try and sort it out that way.

On this page it says Trowbridge is appt only but in fact they will only give you an appt if you have discussed it with them by phone first.

Trow CAB is a nightmare, or rather it was last time I used it, we got there just after it opened, and at 3pm that afternoon we still had not been seen, I spent a whole day there, waiting to see someone,it was a complete nightmare. Back then( about 5 years ago) it was first come first served.

We did offer them the option of starting a weekly session at the Police Station, I even pointed them in the direction of a volunteer, but we never heard from them again..

I was mentioning (moaning) about this in the Visitor Centre today and someone said that some years ago they used to have sessions in the Library. It would be good to have had a branch in Westbury. By the way when I did get through on the phone, they offered to phone me back. They did so and I have to say were really nice and helpful.

By the way the Credit Union are in the Visitor Centre on Friday morning (from 10am) as Wiltshire College is closed for the holidays.

It does appear that the only interest the CAB has in Westbury, is when they come "cap in hand" for one of the annual grants from the Town. Maybe it is time they were refused until they provide a service here.

What came first though, the chicken or the egg?

CAB is a non-profit making charity run mainly by volunteers. Without funding, they can't do anything.
