If thats the case, then chill out and get a sense of humour. And a sense of satire. And, Londoner, respect for freedom of speech.

well said Mr Yokel!! it was a Mickey take to get a silly reaction, to be honest i cant believe the over reaction from it!! Perhaps it hit a nerve.  It seems some people on here want it that if you don't don't agree with our opinions you are not allowed to speak on the forum!! The truth is that if the bypass goes east it will destroy a fantastic piece of our countryside!! So ok ok its 2 lanes too many and its not the exact location Does thast make it ok now??  |

Oh well it got a reaction!!
But for those who DON'T want the bypass, what what would you prefer buildings being shaken to pieces, people dieing from lung disease, children at risk from being run over by 40+ton trucks, just think what would happen if a fully loaded lorry lost it's brakes coming down Haynes road, there wouldn't be much left of the doctors surgery.
all this just for the loss of a few fields, that are low grade crop producers, with very little top soil.
I know I don't now live in Westbury now, but Bideford had this problem 12 years back when all the traffic went through the town across a narrow bridge, and through a housing estate.
they built the New bridge, and the Atlantic highway.
It's now a better place and a improving tourist attraction.
