The value of money!

I think we often become blase about the big money thrown around in our culture but two things struck me today:

Cristiano Ronaldo £80m

and on a slightly different tack
New Snowdon cafe £8.5m

even allowing for building up a Mt, how can a cafe cost over £8m! And iot was a year late opening.

This, for me at least, is in contrast to helping with Age Concern yesterday reduce a pensioners electricity direct debit which Southern Electric had increased from £50 to £150 with only minimal warning based on estimated usage. Seems madness to me.

Sickening isn't it.

if only some of that money could be invested into some charities, hospices, hospitals, run down areas, etc to ensure a more comfortable time for many.

Dorothy House for example, the Air Ambulance, all crucial services, valuable to thousands, all relying on public donations, both cost thousands a week to run.

It makes me soooooooooo cross.
