Right Folks!
On Saturday, 6th June 2009, fellow town councillor Dave Windess and I are to walk from Bradford on Avon to Westbury to raise funds for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal. Those who monitor (via the Wiltshire Police Web site) the activities of the Air Ambulance will know that there are a number of occasions where because of the injured persons medical condition or injuries, transportation via the Air Ambulance to hospital has given them a real chance of survival, although sadly, sometimes the injury or illness has been too serious and lives have been lost.

hawkeridge@aol.com. giving me your contact details. Otherwise, Mike Cuthbert-Murray from “Banana Blues” will accept donations until end of business on the 6th June, or they may be made at the Air Ambulance shop in Westbury (please state that you are donating in response to this walk).
We plan to leave Bradford on Avon at 10.00am and hope to be back at Westbury Library between 12.45 and 1.15pm (bearing in mind I am nearly 63 years old and can’t walk so fast without my Zimmer frame!!).
If anybody would like to welcome us home, we will be very grateful (but, please make sure you have a cold drink handy!).
