Does anyone know who the people were in the High Street today? There were several of them stood outside Jambo/Martins with a large billboard and handing out leaflets. Only saw them as I drove out of the car park & the billboard was facing t'other way. One guy seemed to be speaking fairly heatedly with a chap holding some leaflets.

2 quotes by me.... - Nature is wonderful, you just need the time to stop, look and listen. - Look up, you never know what you may see.

they are there every month, its a religion group , what ever they care to do and preach in public is their choice whether the public want to listen and take in what ever they are saying is perfectly ok, people who are not interested will walk on by, its not my cup of tea preaching in the streets on religion , but some do take comfort from this, I personally do practice my religion but that to me is private matter and that alone .

I too am not bothered by people who wish to spread their word, as long as they do not harass me with their views, then I say each to their own.
There was a boy at School who used to scare us witless by telling us that the world was doomed and would end on a certain date, LOL He was a Jehovah Witness and I am sure he thrived in scaring all us younger kids, LOL

There's a chap in Glastonbury near the war memorial and stands on a box to 'spread the word'. I admire his conviction but personally I think religion is like sex and should be done in private between consenting adults!

I get annoyed when people start preaching in the street. If I want to be told what to think I'll join a religion. I think it's quite insulting the way they often believe they know best, and everyone else is misguided. In fact, it's the other way round - they're preaching to people because of what someone else has told them.
Personally I don't think preaching in the street should be encouraged.
