I have found a Google Translator version of this poem...(sounds a bit funny in English though)
To the Grandmother
(standing in front of the full-length portrait)
The face is oblong and firm
Black dress flared out towards the bottom
Young Grandma! Who used to kiss
Your haughty lips?
Hands, which in the halls of the palace
Chopin waltzes played ...
On both sides of the icy face
Curls in the form of spirals.
Dark, direct and exacting look.
The look, which ready to defence.
Young women don't have a look like that,
Young grandmother, who are you?
How many probabilities have you taken with you,
And the impossibilities - how many? -
Into the insatiable depth of the earth,
The twenty years old Polish girl?
The day was innocent, and the wind was fresh.
Dark stars faded away.
- Grandma! - This brutal rebellion
In my heart...have I got it from you???
(Marina Tsvetaeva)

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you like to win but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
...If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost.
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are.
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win the prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.
