That's cool  Thumb up! !

I like it when we drive to Shrewton for Westbury's annual football match because it's practically a straight road (except for in Chitterne) with open range both sides and tank crossing areas - never seen any cross the road but it would be fun to, unless too close of course  Cheesy !

Happy :-) !

2 quotes by me....
- Nature is wonderful, you just need the time to stop, look and listen.
- Look up, you never know what you may see.

Beleave me it's s**t scary when crossing the plain in the dark especially when there is an exercise on, I know from a few years back, my ex and myself lived on the other side of the plain near Durrington, I was coming home in the dark from the RAF camp where I was stationed and a B****y big tank crossed the road in front of me less than 15yards away, it stopped and fired it's gun, then roared off into the darkness.

I must have driven across 100's of times, regularly using the chitterene to shrewton road. I had a chinnook land troops about 30yds from the road one evening in the dark. 20% of me wanted to pullover and watch, 80% said drive on. Fantastic, but scary !

PS

There is VERY often a mobile speed trap in Chitterne, mostly on Sunday mornings. they are usually up that side road on the left as you come down the hill, but I have seen them hide amongst the dustbins on the other side of the road.
Never be intimidated to speed up from your 30mph coming down the hill, by someone behind you.
