It's not over yet, still a month to go  Grin!
One's hoping it's an improvement on May-Nov, although Jan-April were ok.

Actually, on reflecting more on this question.........

I have so much to be grateful for from the last year.  Much time spent with family and friends, all cherished moments, I am grateful for each one.

Lots of days out, long walks, sociable evenings, nights in, nights out, weekends away, relatively good health, I have had the warmth of a nice house, and the pleasure of a lovely garden, and of course hands on hugs with my beautiful children.

Good food, good wine, catching up with friends, various courses, becoming more involved with my childrens school.

I am gutted that my marriage has encountered problems which seem too big to recover from, I am sad that we have lost our relationship as it was (we are still on good terms, most of the time!!)

BUT I feel much gratitude for all life gave to me during 2008. Wink

Every year I think next year will be better than this, guess what, it never works out that way because different challenges are thrown your way each year and that is part and parcel of life as we get older, its a bit like a roller coaster i just wish that sometimes on the ride it would be flat and coasting and enjoyable.   Still life would be rather boreing if it was predictable.   Thumb up!
