As someone who knows little about technology, who can tell me more about Skype.  Do you have it and is it worth having and why?!!

I use skype to keep in contact with my sis in oz, we both have web cam as well, so that we are able to see & speak to each other and best of all it's a free call.  The only draw back is broadband speed, if there's alot of traffic and it can slow up and freeze, also if using a web cam, your pc will need a fairly decent ram memory, as again this can slow things up.

Is it worth having, then yes as it doesn't cost to download and use in it's basic form.

Yes it's free unless you want to use it to make phone calls, in which case you buy credits.

I use it to talk to my dad in Kent and my son in law talks to his family in Turkey almost every day - all for FREE.
Well worth dowloading, I've been using it for a couple of years now.

Getting ready for School day before yesterday and Morgan starts shouting up the stairs, Mummy, Mike is online and wants to talk to us, he is asking if we want to see his webcam..........

I said, what Mike from Banana Blues, yes he replied.

Told him to say we were busy getting ready, when I came downstairs it was some random Mike from Ireland.

Have now changed my settings on Skype to stop randoms.

i just got it, it will be a good way of talking to the bf, it sucks hes so far away most the time
