I was thinking of going to this too however there was a diary clash which prevented me booking. I niw have no diary clash so may pop into the library to check.

Thanks for the reminder  Smiley .

The workshop has been cancelled due to a lack of support.

The lady in the Library said that 5 people had signed up and that when the author phoned this morning she would only go ahead with at least 10.

Ironically I was the 4th person to go in today, after it being cancelled, and ask if there were any places left!

Pity the Library couldn't let us know. I would have gone if I'd known it was so short of support - usually these events are over subscribed.

Well they couldn't really, how would they go about it? It was advertised in the WHN two issues back and was in the events listing last week. Maybe the author should have stated her minimum requirement in the advertisments.

I was only free to go in the end once this evening's football was postponed and in my experience it's not rare for people to make decisions on the day to go to events.

Hi Andy,

I didn't explain that very well. I meant I'll mention it to Sabina, the Community librarian that she could advertise such events on the forums and if it looks like they are going to end up short on numbers put up a call for possible attendees. I saw it on the WWDC site and don't recall seeing a poster about it in the Library. We could also have advertised it in the Heritage Centre. I'm always moaning that I would like to see more such events in Westbury so it's a pity this was cancelled - for whatever reason.
