My son does not.

It is like I am making him go up a very narrow chimney to clean it for the duration of the day.

Do you think children have too much homework? Not enough?   My friend never makes her son do it, believing it is wrong to give them work outside school.

Only just seen this thread, brilliant comment !  applause

My son is not very keen either, it doesn't help when the two of them always want help at the
same time.  I leave my son to help my daughter with french, then come back and he's gone.
Putting the tv on while Star Wars was showing was not a helpful thing for my husband to do
either....

Having 4 boys at school i am on at them constantly to do their homework, well i think getting my 15 yr old to revise for mocks almost sent me off to the psychic unit at ruh, my 10 year old was in tears cos he was really trying to do what they call maths these days and i looked at it for him and joined in the tears with him cos it was double dutch to me and had the 15 yr old laughing cos i could not understand something so simple ( so says him) my 10 yr old is also in top set maths at westbury juniors, so i felt really sorry for him and went and asked his teacher to explain it to BOTH of us lol, my 8 year old refuses point blank to do homework cos he has to do it in school all day so why should he waste his valuable play time doing stupid homework and my 6 yr old is to tired to do anything after school, so it is all squeezed in at the weekends.
Does anyone have a bottle of vodka for me to drink as it is Friday night and i have to do homework tomorrow for 3 kids lol.

Imagine the maths after the vodka tho., LOL

I was talking to someone recently who says they disagree with kids having homework full stop and maybe Mums should take a stand and say ''No, I do not agree with X doing homework when they have had it in School all day''
