Talks are on going so nothing finalized as yet.

Good news or bad news for those that hold accounts with Britannia?

As it is a take over and not a sale there will be no pay outs to long serving Britannia Members.

I understood this was to be a merger. However, as the Co-op and Brittania are both "mutuals" the new organisation will still be owned by the members (of both existing businesses). I personally think this will be good, and place the new Co-op/Brittania in a stronger financial position thus keeping our money safer. Also, we may end up with a branch of the Co-op Bank here in Westbury.
